There is a Worship and Praise adornment instrument that is usually called the Billow. Sometimes called a Banner, Dancing Silks or Praise Streams.
There are two scripture references for billows. In each of these scriptures, the word billow has a different root word. Psalm 42:7 “Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me”.
The deep in us is calling out to the deep in God. We want a new baptism (birth) completely submerged, yes even overwhelmed in His divine love and purpose for our lives.
Jonah 2:3-4 “For you cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me; all Your waves and Your billows passed over me. Then I said, I have been cast out of Your presence and Your sight; yet I will look again toward Your holy temple”. (Amplified)
As we are in the midst of deep areas, we will turn our eyes to the Lord. Our focus will not be on the things going on here below, but on the things above. After we have been refined (which happens in our deep places), we will go forth as gold to be used of the Lord! Billows #1530 (Hebrew) gal: a heap, a spring, a wave
primary root; galal: to roll, to commit, to flow down, to be rolled, to roll oneself.
Billows #4867 (Hebrew) mishbar: a breaker or wave. Root word# 7665 sha-bar: to burst forth, to bring to birth. #4535 (Greek) salos: from the base of vibration. From the definitions, we can see that almost every movement that we make with the billows can cause activation in the prophetic arena. this worship adornment is a fertile field of biblical symbolism.
The Objective
As we use the billows, our intent is to create a shift in the atmosphere in preparation for God’s heavenly kingdom to come to earth thus creating favorable conditions for a supernatural birthing of our symbolic movements.
The billow is a long piece of fabric made from silk or another type of lightweight fabric such as silk essence.
A standard billow is approximately 15 ft. long and 45 inches wide.
